I get that he’s low of confidence, but what would the rest of the male populace’s excuse? Frank’s less than stellar communication is highly typical in my experience. :^D
SweetPuck, far be it for me to try & speak for anyone on this forum other than myself. After Brandy said “No” Frank felt lonely & unloved & shot down again. Dragged to the party, he gets kissed by Jen under the mistletoe & misreads it into something more than what it was. The grasping at love, the stammering & “you know“‘s come from his upbringing, or lack thereof. Don’t know if it’s typical or not, I’m just reading what the author wrote.
Tsk; such fickleness, Frank. Supposedly your heart belongs to Brandy, yet one little meaningless smooch transfers your attention to Jen, just like that.
I think more likely Brandy had a feeling for Frank but somehow, Jen had to kiss Frank under the mistletoe to make Brandy jealous. That is my guess. Frankie, are you high or what?
