NEVER TEASE A DOG WITH FOOD… even if it is a beloved gentle pet. They can and will bite… multiple times before you even feel the first one… if you give them a bone or a dish of food don’t ever try to take it away from them. It’s theirs and they will defend it with a nuclear capability.
Well, maybe it’s a matter of race. My dog is a shitzu (I know, I know), and he isn’t aggressive at all when, for some reason, me or my wife have to interrupt him while eating. He just waits. Or maybe is because I taught him to obey since he was a little puppy. In any case, what I don’t do is teasing him with treats, like Dean over here. He doesn’t get angry either, but I think is mean.
I know I’m a few days late with the comment, but I agree wholeheartedly with Garfield! It has so much to do with the training. My German Shepard would actually allow our Lop-earred bunny to move her out of the way while the bun would eat the shepard’s food. (sadly this caused the rabbit’s demise from poisoning)
A few years ago we rescued a 3 year old 110 lb Saint Bernard mix that was malnourished so she was only 75lb when we got her. It took several months of touching her food while growling in her face until she got the point that WE provide the food and can take it at any time. I will still not allow my daughter to take food from her but I regularly do it just to keep her in check.

Especially a wiener dog. Unfortunately, Anthony gave Wiener dogs a bad rep.

He is the Oscar Weiner. Maybe he has taught the pig not to tease. LOL!

Dean is a prototype of Christie, and Oscar is a prototype of the media.
