Poor Dad…

Aww. Dad needs a real Thanksgiving Dinner! Maybe he could sneak out and go to a restaurant! Lio is too friendly with that turkey, anyway.

Hey Dad! Just switch the covers so it looks like you’re reading the tofu book.

Naah, he felt guilty. He should make Lio his meal, then go out later get his own.

Dad, I have one word for you…”Turducken”.

Don’t do it, Dad. Have ham for Thanksgiving instead - if Lio hasn’t made friends with the pig.

Pot roast would be fine with me! Medium rare, lots of garlicky gravy, and roasted red potatoes in butter sauce! MMMMM!

Go ahead and fix a turkey dinner anyway. If Lio would rather go hungry, Sybil would gladly eat his share!

i don’t have top worry about that this year, my aunt is coming for the weekend and bringing the turkey & all the trimmings

Hey, Kali48, a good one! Can I use that line when someone asks me what we had for Thanksgiving?

Actually, we are vegetarian (lacto, not vegan) and dine quite well, thank you. But tofu is a rare item on our menu.

My wife’s vegetable cassarole is a big hit among nonvegetarians; everyone asks for the recipe. And her “soups” are to die for (They are so thick and rich they are more like stews). How about camote (garnet yam) or palak paneer or pav bhaji or eggplant in yogurt curry? I could go on, but the drool isn’t good for the keyboard.

You don’t have to stoop to tofu, Dad; remember, any day is a good day for pizza!

whitecarabao, can I come to dinner at your house? Not for Thanksgiving - my sister-in-law makes a yummy spinach quiche - but some other time. Sounds fantastic! :-)

SherlockWatson, you must be a fan of General Hospital, that has been the traditional Thanksgiving dinner at the Q’s since the 80’s!

Maybe if dad’s lucky the zombies will have some left over brains for him.

I’ll bring my Mushroom Pie. Lots of butter and cream but no meat.
