One of my all-time favorite Mad Magazine articles was their parody of “Jaws.” [paraphrasing from memory]:
“It’s a shark.”
“An alleged shark. What happened to that fisherman, anyway?”
“The alleged shark bit off his alleged head. Also his alleged arms and legs.”
It’s hard to believe that Jaws came out 45 years ago. I remember seeing it in the theater as a teenager.
Didn’t Lio do this joke a decade ago with the squid and a toy Captain Nemo?
