There is a ‘sub-breed’ of Beagle used in field trials that looks more ‘basset’ looking than the smaller ‘rabbit dog’ beagles. They are ‘highly bred’ and pretty expensive too. .There are 13" and 15" beagles, tri-colored, blanket-back and also ‘faded-tri’ for just a few of the variations of them.

LDL doesn’t need to do anything with his ears. He’s either a Basset or a Beagle and they have droopy ears. I like LDL just the way he is.
