My cat once brought in a chipmunk (and a baby rabbit, a few birds, etc. We live in the woods.) and boy, was that a crazy morning, trying to get it out of the house without the dogs or the cats getting it. I finally ended up getting a laundry basket, and when the thing came out of the closet, I slammed the basket over it, then scooted it to the door and let it out. What a morning!
Reminds me of the squirrel I used to feed outside my college dorm window. He pounced just like that on the screen when I ran out of peanuts. Scarred me so I stop feeding it. It was cute though and I naively thought he liked me. Hence the word naive. Good times
