The original Oktoberfest (Munich, Bavaria, Germany) starts this Saturday. Preponed long ago because of the fairer weather (not always) in September.
We live nearby. Yecch. Lots of drunken people not only from but to their way to the “Wies’n” (short for “Theresienwiese”) because it’s cheaper to get drunk that way as some of them have told us (Vorglühen"). Many barf in our street. Or worse…
We used to be out of town that time of year, but unfortunately that’s not an option for us at the moment…
