    Sheik Yerbouti: Hate to get pedantic or JAD you, but I believe participle is correct, NOT gerund.

    “I am working” present participle. (“I”subject; “am working”verb) on the car.

    “I am running” out of gas.

    (Sorry - “Gerund” caught my eye.)
