Which one makes the car run over the pedestrian?

As soon as there are enough self-driving cars, you’ll be able to tie up a freeway (or any city street) for hours by sending a manikin out in front of them. They have to stop for a pedestrian — it’s the first law of robotics.

As soon as they come up with self-driving car that reads you your smart phone SO YOU CAN PAY ATTENTION to the road, I’ll be all for it!

And the third computer makes the appropriate hand gestures.

I’m all for the self-driving cars. There’s too many morons on the road now.

And what about hacking? That’s bound to happen.

Marketing tells you that something is GREAT and PERFECT and never makes a mistake. A GOOD engineer will tell you that something is bound to go wrong SOMETIME and will look for a way to prevent catastrophe.
