Wanted to buy a shirt at a fair while in college. Asked washing instructions and was told “hand wash, line dry.” I put it back, much to the seller’s dismay. I explained I was in college and had no place for line dry. She seemed to have an elevated notion of college dorms, since she was convinced that I had a separate shower and could hang the shirt over the bar. Ha! I had a sink and a roommate, who would not have liked me to appropriate her towel rack or closet. And no one with intelligence leaves things in the communal bathroom!

Because she does the washing.

That’s the deal breaker for me. If it’s not “machine wash, tumble dry” it does not go home with me! ;-)

You’ll understand when you get older (and have to pay for your own dry cleaning).
