Lean forward in your saddle to go forward faster. Lean back to slow or stop. Pull the rein in the direction you want to go and the horse will follow the bit. It’s easy in principle, but takes a bit of practice to learn how to sit in the saddle at different speeds.

It’s been so long since I’ve ridden that if I were to ride more than an hour or so at this point, I’d be sore for days!
