I can’t believe EITHER you don’t have a ton of traffic citations. Are there no cops in this town?

Luckily, I learned to drive from a cop (his 2nd, part-time job to earn a little extra). One of Dad’s wisest decisions, to hire him rather than trying to teach me himself….

My father tried to teach me. Once. I went to driving school, which I paid for myself. He didn’t bother with my sister and brother.. LOL!

And in the third panel neither of them are paying attention to the road.

I learned how to drive the tractor on the farm. At that point in time, women didn’t need to learn to drive a car. That’s what husbands are for. When I suddenly found myself with a car and no husband, I drove myself to the DMV to get a license.

My father taught me to drive in a 66 Chevy C10 with a three on the tree. It wasn’t bad because we were on a deserted country road a I caught on quick.

My father taught me to drive and drive very well. So much so after I got my license he got in the back seat of the car with my mother when we were going to see my grandma (his mom) and told me to drive there. My mother went nuts my father told her to be quiet and enjoy the ride. After all he said “I taught her to drive”. My mother shut up and I did just fine. Mind you my father never mentioned how many mornings I went to work with him that he let me drive.
