Except for her comments in the last panel Luann gave him blunt but useful advice. She actually saved him from mass ridicule throughout the school. If she’d been more polite she would have set him up for complete humiliation in Pitts Junior High. (That doesn’t mean she couldn’t have found a more tactful way to break it to him.)
