Gunther: Everyone looks at me like I'm some kind of geek. Delta: So? Everyone looks at me like I'm a different color. I just ignore em. Gunther: Delta, you are a different color. Delta: Than who?
Gunther, you are some kind of a geek. You just need to determine what kind. Are you the geek who lets people walk on you and bring you down, or are you the geek who is going to be yourself, and judge people by how they treat you?
I found my people in theater! I never felt judged. We were painting sets once and we were all worried about paint getting on us and a girl said “It’s funny, we’re white and worried about brown paint getting on us and she’s brown worried about white paint getting on her” it made me laugh and that was the only time my “race” was a topic. I could play any role and it didn’t matter that it wasn’t the character description.

Delta chooses to be color blind. Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone else was, too?
