Bad move, Luann. Trying to “fix” a guy rarely turns out well.
Looks like Luann will pursue Walt. I doubt she’ll get anywhere. He seemed more interested in Bernice, and we know he wasn’t enamoured with Tiff. I also seriously don’t think Frank would approve of him. lol
So next week.. this story continues and Bernice is told about Walt/Piro??
Well the switch-up came late this week. Looks like Luann has developed a sudden interest in Piro – note her word. Right now it looks like Lu wants to do a little mothering and ease Piro’s “sad, broody, brokenness.” Will GnC allow this to develop on its own? Or will Bernice seek a piece of Piro. Or will Piro shut Lu down and mostly show an interest in Bernice?
Will we see Tara tell Luann her cousin’s intense, sad story, or will she regard it as something Piro/Walt told her in confidence? (Luann: Aw, c’mon. Tell me. Tara: Can you keep a secret? L: Of course. T: So can I.)
Once again Luann is attracted to Piro and his romantic and decadent charm as an unlucky hero. Actually, a relationship between them could be a good thing for both. But it will be impossible for Bernice to stay out, he still thinks of her and it’s unthinkable that she’s really not interested in him. Maybe in this story Luann will have to choose between her BFF and a guy she likes?
No, Luann, don’t…it’s a trap! You can’t fix a dude unless he WANTS to be fixed. Piro doesn’t wanna be, or he’d have taken his original name back. Stay admiring him from afar and find some other dude.
Saving the other person is always such a great basis for a relationship. Especially when you want or need a partner to step up and be something other than a self-involved taker. Experiencing a hard time, a setback, or a crushing loss? A broken person is exactly what you want in your corner!
Go volunteer at the animal shelter Luann, where you might actually help those who are sad, broken and broody (that is if you don’t mess it up somehow). Piro doesn’t need your particular brand of bs.
My daughter is a Miss Fix-im. Despite her psychology degree, it hasn’t worked as evidenced by her two ex husbands. At least I got 2 beautiful granddaughters out of the deal.
Luann; you had “relationships” with seemingly well adjusted “boys” that didn’t last, for whatever reasons. Besides the fact you find him physically appealing, what does “broody and broken” attracts you about Piro?
First wife and subsequent girlfriend thought I needed “fixing.” Present wife of 27 years gave tolerance, love and affection and a shared love of Jazz, bicycle riding, and joy of anime and manga, among other things. And that’s why it’s been 27 years and still going.
Once again, I like seeing that Tara is committed to her writing; she moves immediately to checking her work wasting little time on the Piro discussion. Luann always seems to have a closed notebook or a resting piece of paper and pencil in front of her.
You nailed it, Tara. Loopy Luann has visions of making everything right with Walt (Piro) and kindling, at last, real romance! Yeah, sure, FAT CHANCE, Lu Lu!
Luann’s man-picker has never worked. Ever. Aaron Hill was not interested. Gunther was but Luann wasn’t into him. Elwood the imitation Elvis was too weird. The Aussie, whatever his name was, was too career-focused to commit. Jack is just a friend. Piro is clearly not looking for a relationship. How about she just focuses on her studies instead of mooning after guys?
(sigh) I think I may have found my Miss Fix-‘im. She thinks I’m wonderful. Must be working, I’m telling a bunch of complete strangers in a comic comments section.

I can’t wait for Lu to take this guy home to meet Frank and Nancy.
Although it may never get to that, because I kinda doubt that Walter here will want to be your “personal project,” Lu.
