If it were my five year old, I think she would have claimed Columbus’s first words were “Where’s McDonalds”.
This is true. And Columbus reportedly went to his grave believing he’d landed in the far east, near India. Nor was his journey for the purpose of proving the world is round. We’re taught a lot of fairy tales in school and told they’re history.
