I once responded to,“Are we there yet?” By pulling to the side of the road and saying, “Close enough, get out.”Our five and seven year old daughters looked out the window, at a wide expanse of prairie and then looked, wide eyed, at me.I laughed and drove the rest of the way without any more questions. Our girls are smart. On trips after that they would ask, “How much longer?”

When my kids were young and asked that, I would say yes and then describe Zeno’s Paradox to them.
