The Meterology of a Political Storm. A couple of governors launch a culture war trial balloon (RFRA). Not realizing how much the climate has changed (or what century it is) this stirs up a social media storm which kicks up a bigger mainstream media storm. This turns into a category 4 money storm. In the end this clears the air, clarifying the political climate (and what century it is).

Conservatives whine about turning gays into a “protected class”, while ignoring the fact that laws like Indiana’s “Religious Freedom Restoration Act”, turn bigots into a protected class.

Once in a while reality wins. Too bad it’s most often for political of financial reasons, not purely ethical.

Some people freely chose to announce boycotts, other people freely chose to change the wording in a law, or to add to the wording. No “tyrants” anywhere in the story.
