    Hmm. The lighting (like a spotlight on stage, in addition to the b/w) reminds me of some old movies. Interesting affect in a comic. More black ink for the printing presses though.

    I can’t believe they spend all day drinking Starbucks coffee and all night at the bar. At this rate they will be homeless sooner than if they hoarded their money to pay the rent and eat Ramen noodles til they got jobs.

    actually the shoe advice blog does have the potential to generate a little bit of income.she’d have to put advertising on it.it won’t make much, but it ought to be good for at least one Latte.

    Unfortunately, Lila is not in many newspapers, so we’re okay with the ink for the printing presses, LOL. The spotlight effect is a definitely “look” that we generated early on to help distinguish “Lila” from other strips and to give it a more theatrical look, as you suggested, skeeterhawk.
