It is the 21st century. We’ve had the technology for call back for a couple of decades now. Yet there are so few organizations that use it.
Be glad that you at least have a number to call. Most organizations have successfully isolated themselves from their customers behind web sites. You can’t even find their street address to write a letter snail mail.
They brag a lot. Your call is important . , , Our representatives are busy with other customers. Please stay on the line for the next . . . Like their just getting so much business and are building customer base like crazy. Then comes a foreign accent in a voice in the ultra sonic range speaking at 120wpm. And, yes, I hang up a lot.
If my call is so important to you why don’t you add more representatives to answer all these calls? The other one I like is “Please listen closely because our menu options may have changes,” when they haven’t changed in the last 10 years.
