Fascinating Aida has a wonderful satiric song called “Cheap Flights”. They find a flight for 50 pence, but everything else costs extra.

Any quote that does not include every single charge up front is a scam. Lots of that going around.

Suggest at least 2 and better 3 itemized estimates for major or even some minor renovations. If possible, talk to former customers [not those recommended by repairer]. Get online reviews of company. Check BBB. If all reviews positive, look elsewhere – nobody is that good.

Saw just this morning that a United flight had to make an unscheduled stop because a dog pooped and they couldn’t alleviate the smell.

We had a drinking song when I was flying C-130’s.
