Fresh oysters today cost about $1.25 each. (Not per pound – but per each!)

Jeff outsmarting again!

Jeff had probably heard the popular myth about oysters, and is now looking for a woman to see if it’s true.

There’s a gag just like this in the Abbott & Costello movie Who Done It?; a kid gets a whole lot of sodas from soda jerk Costello.

That shopman’s closed left eye, a closed eye so often used by cops in Chaplain movies…

we used to pick our own in Charleston…pick one, throw itin the boat, pick one, eat it…etc.

Oysters ‘R’ in season. I like how they referenced the required R in the month for eating ’sters.

Good deal for a dime!

That’s like me betting a pretty girl that the loser of our race has to kiss the winner. I can’t lose.

Jeff is dumb like a fox.

I love raw oysters. Used to get them out of the Gulf of Mexico when I lived in Houston, Texas. They are so expensive now and hard to buy them here in Arkansas

As long as they aren’t Rocky Mountain Oysters, I love them fried.
