Things haven’t changed, though the job marked does have it’s ups and downs.About 15 years ago, the company that I worked for reduced the work-force in order to up the stock value. It worked, stock value went up to $60/share. However, at that time, the job market was in labor’s favor and there was Monster.com! Many of those left soon realized that they could be making double their wages at companies within a 100 mile radius! Then, the company was begging people to stay!(Last I checked, stock value was $13/share)
