A real oldie. Reminds me of Myron Cohen’s joke about the man who tries to sell an elephant to another for $200. The first is persistent and goes over all the arguments why this would be a good purchase for second man, who keeps refusing and asks the first to just go away.Then the first says, well you’re a tough sell, so tell you what i’m gonna do, just for you, 2 elephants for $300. Then the second responds saying, Now you’re talking.
A heard this recently on an old TV show, a man was telling some friends he had a 22 dollar bill that he was going to pass off on a not very bright acquaintance by asking for change. When the man saw his friends they asked how things went. He replied, pretty good. He gave me 2 8’s and a 6 in change.
