When I was a kid, in the 50’s, we had a stove that had a pilot that had to be lit with a match. Used to scare Mom to hell when she had to bake anything.
Was just yesterday or this morning thinking about the Mooseberry Rocket Fuel storyline on Rocky and Bullwinkle.
It really went out.
When we lived in Moldova in ’94, we had to light our stove. That was normal for everyone.
