    Top-o-the morning Vagabonds

Dark again this morning, it’s not just the clouds I’m afraid but still it should be lighter then it is. Looking at the thermometer I saw 61. The forecast calls for clearing later in the day but there could be some rain, high 75.

It seems like a good day to keep on keeping on, what do you think?

Have a good one everybody, and may God keep you safe.

    Morning, Village!

Our discernment team voted to recommend to the congregation that we disaffiliate from the United Methodist Church. The vote was 88%. The congregation will take the final vote on October 2.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

I’ve been to the clinic for an echocardiogram this morning. Other than a smeary mess with the gel, everything went well. I don’t expect any surprises, but I won’t get the results until I see my regular doctor on 9/26. Between now and then, I have scheduled a bone density test, an abdominal scan, a colonoscopy, a mammogram and another blood draw. Sheesh! What we go through to please our doctors. The thing is, other than the cancer, I have never had a negative result from any of these types of tests. I don’t expect to now, either.

I did another indoor walk at Target after the echo. I walked around enough to just about equal the morning walk around the neighborhood that I skipped. Yesterday, I did one of my hallway walks. The cats think I’m nuts for just walking back and forth like that. They watch me like they were watching a tennis match.

We are having a baby shower for one of our church women in September. She asked that instead of a card, we buy a child’s book so she can build a “baby library”. I found a Dr. Seuss book that I hadn’t heard of before and wasn’t included in the collection of 5 of his books that Target was also selling.

Our water will definitely be turned off all day on the 31st, so Michael & I have planned a road trip to St. George Utah that day. All we really need to do is make sure we are up and showered by 7AM. After that, we can play it by ear.

It got up to 105 on the patio yesterday, but cooled down to 95 and stayed there until after sunset. It had clouded over and threatened rain (Only threats, though. No thunder or water.) so the humidity went up and the temp went down. Today’s forecast is for 100 and it’s 89 at the moment. This is why I am doing indoor walks.

Everyone have a safe and blessed day.

we had our 2nd horrific thunderstorm this summer. tons of loud noise, and we lost power for about 8 hours! we couldn’t even go to bed early because the noise was devastating and then came the hail. not fun at all.
