It’s 30 degrees outside the house and a lot of snow too. Snow continues in snow showers through out the day, temperatures just below freezing. What you gonna do? (^.^)
When it gets a little lighter I’ll go out and get going with rhe snowblower. Thing a bout a snowblower if I had to shovel all that snow I’d never make it though the winter.
All y’all have a wonerful day and may God Give you great blessings.
It’s another clear cold morning (well cold for me anyway). We’re at 42 on the way to 50. It got down to 33 again last night. The forecast over the next 10 days is for temps in the 60’s by next Friday and 63 on Christmas Day. No precipitation in sight anywhere.
Yesterday we had the adventure of changing out a GFCI outlet in the master bath. While doing so, we discovered that almost all of the breaker switches were mislabeled. So we spent an hour or so confirming exactly which switches do what and relabeling the box. Then we did the repair. Of course that took a lot longer than you would think, too. We’re no experts, but everything was clearly labeled, so figuring out which wire goes where was easy. The hard part was bending that heavy gauge wire.
Mike’s coming over today to pick up the gifts to take to his daughters in CA next week. We will finally be able to get the tree finished with his help. I guess that’s what I’ve really been waiting for. He enjoys it so much.
Everyone have a safe and blessed day and a glorious Christmas season.
The storm is over and we got more snow then advertized and it was heavy wet stuff. The snowblower was struggling with it and kept stalling out. I gave up and helped sister mine scoop out the end of the drive to provid a parking spot and try to bust out on monday. Then the neaghbor came down with his tractor with bucket and dug us out. Many thanks and blessings.
Looked like 27 on the temperature gage, overcast, flurries, today’s high is expected to be 31. So not warming any to much.
Thanks to our neaghbor we will be able to get out for church this morning, a simple Banquet frozen fryed chicken, mashed tater and carrots for dinner, then I’ll snooze while FB is on. (^.^)
Blessings to all for this week before Christmas, God be with you always.
We had a short service today, finishing up Matthew 13 with the three parables about the Kingdom of Heaven. About 15 minutes shorter than usual. The teaching was short but pithy.
I stopped and picked up Egg McMuffins on the way home. I’ve been craving one for a while now and that should satisfy things.
Mike came by yesterday afternoon and helped us finally get that tree decorated. It looks great in the front window. I’ve been lighting it up every day with only the lights, but now it’s even better. He’s off to CA on Monday for a few days but will be back to spend Christmas with us.
Just for fun, Michael and I made a list of all of our furniture that we have built from kits vs. that which we bought. So far, excluding large appliances, it’s 14 bought to 28 built. It’s a whole lot cheaper to put them together ourselves (about 1/10 the cost on the last two desks) than to buy them. But we’re done with construction now, at least until we talk each other into it again.
I just got started on Chuck Swindoll’s study of Revelation. He’s fascinating to listen to and I have his companion study guides to go along with the audio files. I decided to put answers to any questions in the guides in a separate notebook so that the guides can be used again.
I didn’t look at the temperature when I got up this morning, but it is 47 on its way to 53 at the moment. According to my patio thermometer’s memory, it got down to 34 last night. Tonight’s low is forecast at 28!
Everyone have a safe and blessed Sunday and a Blessed Christmas Season.
