Gloomy, best describes the outside right now, I got up to see 67 on the old thermometer. The forecast says cloudy with periods of rain, elevated humidity, high 73. So you see we’re almost there already.
I know I keep saying this but we will get the grill done TODAY. (^.^)
May you all have prime day and may our Lord keep you company.
Bible study this morning. I’ve got to leave in about 15 minutes so this will be short.
I found out what I needed at the bank yesterday. I’m not real happy with the new financial system, so we’ll see what happens after July 1.
We got up to 95 on the patio yesterday. Today’s forecast is for 97. Several times I have seen a triple digit day a few days away (in today’s forecast, next Thursday) but by the time we get there it’s been revised downward. I am NOT compaining.
It’s foggy and 64 degrees, the forecast says cloudy and afternoon showers, high of 81. Certainly different from yesterday.
Well all I got to say is it’s my usual Sunday starting with church and the good word from our sky pilot, not really sure what’s for Sunday Diner, the grill is together but needs to be seasoned (what ever that means), ah, but, the stakes are still in the freezer. A lazy afternoon will be had by all. (^.^)
All y’all have a lazy Sunday afternoon and may God be on the couch next to you.
Sorry I haven’t been around lately, but I’ve been very busy and had a lot on my mind. I’ve been Interim Pastor of a Global Methodist Church since January. Now I’m retired again (for the fourth time!) And my book is nearing completion. I need to fix the front cover and I’ve got my nephew, who’s a graphics designer, working on it. Meanwhile, I’m proof-reading it one last time.
So, update me on what’s going on in y’alls lives?
Yesterday’s bible study was pretty good. We took a look at the “bent-over woman” from Luke 13: 10-17. It’s pretty amazing what we can learn from this unnamed, suffering woman, if only her bravery in being in the synagogue at all after 18 years of being bent double. She would have been an outcast in her community.
I’m continuing to pray for my friend Shonasee. What an awful thing to have to go through, losing a child to murder. I commend her choice to donate his organs, though. It must have been hard.
Church today, followed by I-don’t-know-what. I’m thinking a fresh pizza….
Still no 100+ degree days, though today is supposed to be 99.
