Scariest ride I was ever on as a kid: The Mind Bender, Atlanta, 6 Flags. Scariest ride as an adult: my car. In traffic.

Scariest ride I ever went on was a very old wooden roller coaster at Ocean View Park in Norfolk, VA (you can see it destroyed in an old movie). I was 9 and my uncle wanted to take me on my first roller coaster ride. The safety equipment consisted of a chain across your lap with an ordinary hardware store latch. It could easily be unlatched during the ride and people were killed on that coaster by unbuckling and standing up during the ride. I’ve ridden bigger coasters since then, but none as scary. My uncle held on to the back of my shirt during the entire ride because he was afraid I might fly out of the seat.

Fear the “Wallet Stripper”. Now found at country fairs and at locales with one-day passes!!!
