Come on Phil, get on the ball! If she really loves you (which I believe she does). The two of you can make anything work!!

Of course, the LAST time conversation between them got to this vicinity, there rose the little matter of (cue organ music) what happened in Fritzi’s past to make HER hesitate on making the leap. So, the last essential element of backstory — Fritzi and Nancy — must be filled in before we even get to this point. (The way the retcon is going, I rather doubt she’ll be the flapper she originally was… I’m looking forward to this.)

Here’s a nice little “Twilight Zone” twist on this whole story arc: Phil and Fritzi get married, big church wedding, all the bells and whistles. As they leave the church, the viewpoint pulls back to a couple standing across the street watching the whole affair — the ORIGINAL Phil and Fritzi in Ernie Bushmiller’s style. You could have a funny comment from one of them, or you could have them fist-bump; doesn’t matter.

Spiderman finally got married, and Mark Trail finally got married. So did Cathy. So, let’s start a new chapter in the life of Phill and Fritzi and make those bells ring.
