Nancy has had this sort of response once or twice before in the OJ era…. where she tries to figure out a way to technically “apologize” without technically actually doing an apology.
It so reminds me for some reason of the episode of “Happy Days” when Fonzie had to say he was “Wrong” but he could never do so.
I hope for Nancy’s sake…. that she does somehow figure out how to apologize to those that she needs to. I actually miss seeing the friend she is at odds with at the moment.

I feel the existence of an apology might be less believable than the exact form it takes.
