One time I was told a plate had a hole burned in it and it was unsafe to turn the furnace on. Luckily it was late winter. I had to get a new furnace, of course.
My nephew had his AC recharged and when the technician ran out of Freon he charged him another service call to come back with the rest of the Freon. It was the technician’s fault for bringing a half-empty supply bottle. I would have told him to stuff it.

Don’t worry, Norm. There’s another stimulus package in the works.

Sounds like it would be cheaper to just burn money to stay warm.
