Non Sequitur by Wiley Miller for August 11, 2002
Transcript:
Mary: How was school today, Honor? Honor: Well...we learned about the branches of government. There's the legislative, judicial, and executive branches. They're separate, but with equal power. Mary: And in all of that, how many women are there? Honor: Um...none. But my teacher says that anyone can be elected in a democracy. Mary: That's the theory, but since women aren't allowed to vote, our rights are separate from men's and equal to your cat's. Connor: Ah, there's my sweet little girl!So what did you learn in school today, Honor? Honor: Suffrage! Boys stink and I'm not a cat!! Connor: I've got to work on my timing.
