Ordinary Basil You might think living in a lighthouse would be extraordinary. Basil Pepperell doesn't think so. That's because he does live in a lighthouse and he thinks it's rather mundane. From his perspective, everyone else seems to have a much more interesting life. "I wish something interesting would happen to me," he sighed. Suddenly a voice wafted through the window. "Hello-o-o...anyone home?" Basil looked down, but no one was there. "No, dear boy...over here. Would you be so kind as to point me in the direction of the Berwicks?" "Finally," Basil thought as he stared at the jovial man hovering outside the window, "something interesting is finally happening to me!"
