Ordinary Basil. After miraculously escaping the Odian Palace's primordial jungle, Basil and Louise landed in a bank of snow in front of the second gateway. "This should take us to the surface," Louise announced, remembering the glaciers that surrounded the Masivodious Desert. But when they peered into the ice cave, someone else peered back. "Can we trust him?" Louise whispered. "Do we have a choice?" Basil asked, glancing at the deadly chasm that yawned behind them. The answer to Louise's question came in a flash... "Are you the children of the firegiver" Back in Helios, there was a different question of trust. The city had only three days of energy to stay aloft. Only Von Rottweil knew the secret location of the Odian caverns. In exchange for his promise to return with a power crystal, the High Council reluctantly set the evil doctor free... "Don't vorry," Von Rottweil said with a wry smile, "I'll be back. I need zis city as much as you need me..."
