And this is also the day that Lou learned that the federal sentencing enhancements in the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act really meant what they said. That the law does not allow anyone to menace a person physically, or to deny them access to a place of public accommodation, because of that person’s nonconformity to your gender stereotypes.
