Ironically ISIS is doing it’s best to bring down Islam.

My old cynical joke: A moderate in the Middle East is the one who gets out of the car bomb before detonating it. But that is unfair, especially with the growing spines of people like the king of Jordan and President Al-Sisi of Egypt. But don’t expect any real support for them until after 2016.

So true. They elevated Charlie Hebdo from a relatively obscure local publication to world fame status. But the loss of those lives was a very painful way to do it.

Of the four definitions of democracy, three are easy to learn and wrong, one is complicated, right, and too easily ignored. Always remember, Hitler was elected. And El-Sisi (got it right that time) is still better than the Muslim Brotherhood.

pschearer: Actually Hitler was appointed (by a senile von Hindenburg) to form a coalition government. From that, he took over absolute power.
