Pick the cat up, flip her over on her back and insert her bottom first into the carrier. Flipping her makes her disoriented, and by the time she realizes what happened she’ll be inside. Close door veeery quickly.

I’ve had one of my kids hold the carrier up on it’s end, and I’ve lowered the cat into the carrier. The trick is sneaking up on the cat and not let it see the carrier until the last possible moment.
That’s exactly like my cat-first trip to the vet and she gave a tremendous fight. 2nd trip-after I had been having her for a year, I gained her trust and went into the carrier easily.

Get a towel just big enough to wrap her, but she can get out of after you put her in the carrier.

Some carriers have the standard front door AND a hatch on top. Just be sure you close ALL the latches!
