Until a few years ago we only stayed in hotels when we had to go to Perth for medical reasons. Once in a great while we’d stay at Miss Maud’s Swedish hotel when we had the money.
Now, we go to our local Rydges twice a year, for his birthday and Valentine’s Day in February and our anniversary and my birthday in June. It’s sooo nice, and you’d not know you were in Kalgoorlie if you didn’t look out the windows in the restaurant!
We rarely do room service though, maybe one dinner during our stays. And Maud’s has a brekky and dinner buffet included in the price.. yum!

I’d rather be at home with a cat on my lap.

I do enjoy a few nights in a hotel, with no distractions from dogs or husband, no dishes calling to be washed, and I can read a book in peace!
