Whenever my sons were bemoaning the fact they didn’t have expensive toys like someone they knew whose both parents worked away from home, I’d remind them that we had to sacrifice a paycheck for me to stay home with them. Then I’d ask which would they prefer - me to be with them, or to have stuff. They always picked me.

That is sad. They may have everything they want and then some but no one can replace mom and dad.
