Last time someone came to my house (my husband signed up for I was not happy he turned it over to me) I was ready for them to leave. They use filters and not bags. When they use your vacuum makes you think your vacuum is no good and it is.
I just look through the peephole. Unless I recognize them, or they are wearing a badge, I don’t open the door. Life is too short to put up with people selling junk hardware, siding, magazines, their idea of a deity, whatever. If your product is any good, you don’t need to sell it door to door.

Do not drink when the vacuum salesman comes. FOR SALE $1200 vacuum, hardly used.

I had some vacuum cleaner salespeople come by here last summer.
They sure do put the pressure on to make the sale… but I just could not see spending more for a vacuum cleaner than I paid for my car.
