Right after they changed the design of the hundred dollar bill, a woman I know (who happens to be black) went to Wal Mart with an old bill. The cashier called security and the security guy tried to tell her it was fake! It was the one that had been around for years! He even tried to take it from her and said he would call the cops!
Considering how easy it is to get counterfeit bills (they call it “theater money” and you can buy it on line from China), and being in the retail business, we check every 50 and 100 with a special light to make sure. No offense meant to people who get them from the bank, it’s just precaution.

I don’t blame him for being careful. Especially if Mister 880 was there just before him

Remember the old way? “forty eight sixty, seventy, seventy five, forty nine and a dollar makes fifty”.

1. I once handed someone a twenty for an eighteen dollar purchase. She said “don’t you have anything smaller?” so I gave her a one.
2. When I get a nickel or penny back in change, I peer at it closely and say “I was taught to always count my change.”

Next thing you know, we will have to show two forms of identification if we pay with cash!

Not to be " that guy" but shouldn’t it be a dollar and 40 cents?
