The name “rhododendron” is based on the ancient Greek words that mean “rose tree”.

“What kind of flower is that?” “What’s the name of that bush with the fragrant pink flowers and the thorns?” “A rose ?” “Yeah. Hey Rose! What kind of flower is this?”

A Rhododendron is just a Rose that’s gotten too big for its britches… ☺

If he would just look back over his shoulder and read his previous speech bubble he’d know how to spell “rotoe …” the flower’s name.
