I am so pleased to see Slim Jim, especially the first episode! It is one of my favourite of the old strips. I love that it’s essentially just that great old comedy staple, the Chase. That it’s cops VS the miscreant makes it even more classic. Best of all is that there is never any explanation at all of why Slim Jim is wanted by the police; and it doesn’t matter. That detail is unnecessary when all we need is the cops-and-robbers pursuit. It’s pure comedy, stripped of any rationality at all. It’s wonderful! Please, give us all of Frink’s Slim Jim. (Frink’s name is a classic, too. It sounds like a joke itself.)

A water tank for the steam engins! When I was stationed in Korea all the American soldiers would take pictures of the steam powered train that would go through the town near the base. The Korens thought we were nuts.

    Welcome back Origins!

Okay Mr. Maresca…..it’s go time. Our other major daily mentor—Stripper Holtz -prefers Frink by a country mile. Out of Frink, Ewer and Armstrong, whose Slim wins your taste test?

    What a fun strip! Thanks
