You see, Louie? Plastic.. Metal.. A little cloth.. But no teeth.. No fire.. No evilness. It's good for him to hear that, Jonas. Well, it brings him back to reality, you know?. I think we're all getting a little tired of this monster vacuum. In his mind..

I feel similarly about those new ultra-ultra-loud hand dryers you see in public bathrooms everywhere these days. They appeared suddenly and have spread like a virus. They hurt my ears and almost blow the skin off my hands.

The monster under my daughter’s bed never appears for me, either…

Wow. Louie got so scared, his eyes bugged out in the last panel. Poor guy … hang in there, buddy.

From a dog’s perspective, the vacuum cleaner phobia makes sense. Vacuum cleaners are noisy to us, and our ears are not nearly as sensitive as a dog’s. The vacuums move in a strange pattern, and at times come straight toward the dog (even if unintentionally on the part of the owner). They pick items up off of the floor, and they must certainly change the smell of a floor. And if a dog does go near it or it goes near a dog, the suction will tug on the dog. My previous dog would run to her bowl and eat any remaining food any time I used the vacuum in her bowl’s vicinity – she apparently saw it as a threat to her food.

Good evening Crew!
Cats hate vacuum cleaners as well. My dogs hated them, my cats hate them! My next dog will hate them too!
