Thunder and lightning aren’t just sounds and lights to dogs. They feel the energy in all their little nerve endings. After years of suffering, I found that simply covering my dog with a blanket when storms or fireworks started, kept him calm and sleeping.

Tbh when you tried thunder just over your position it is understandable dogs get tocuhed by it. Since they got better hearing than we do.

Our dog’s too simple to be bothered by thunder. It’s the cat who goes hiding in the cupboards when its storms.
