We had a bird feeder on our deck. Squirrels would run up a nearby post and leap to the bird feeder. I took it down once when the deck was going to be refinished and later saw a squirrel run up the post, leap without slowing down (or looking, I would guess), and - no bird feeder. It was a long way down, too.
We are at a retirement complex and what we miss most from our home are the birds and squirrels. Had all kinds of feeders, squirrels had their own where they lifted the lid and got the nuts in shells.

Could do with a few mud puddles here, no significant rain(more than 2mm) since the middle of May!

One mud puddle dry, the next one wet. Louie will find one.
