Eleventy-six sounds like Hobbit speak to me.

Man, I miss making up numbers and thinking I was really fooling my parents.

That’s a weird way to count, Violet. There’s no such thing as numbers ELEVENTY nor ONETEEN.

But these are the correct numbers:31254-40

It must make sense to her; some day when she grows up, she’ll get a government job working for the IRS…

If he’d stopped her at 54-40 would she have fought?

Once she said “fifty-four-forty”, it was bound to start a fight.

I’ve always liked imaginary numbers. My favorites are eleventeen and thirty-twelve.
