If Schroeder isn’t enjoying it, why is he putting up with it? Charlie Brown may have been a trickster in those days, but I don’t think he’d have forced Schroeder into an activity he found unpleasant.

Not necessary. Remember when kids actually played outside and their parents bought them real winter clothing and not just hoodies? Our next door neighbor had a nylon snow suit – pants and all. After we’d pack down the snow on the side of our hill by going down it in a toboggan a few times, he’s launch himself from the top while sitting and slide all the way down no problem. Notice that Schroeder is on ice…
