My oldest sister was one to read the book first before seeing a movie. She read the novelization of The Empire Strikes Back before seeing it. When she heard that my wife and I were going to see the flick, she says to me, “You’re going to like this. Somebody is somebody’s father.” She thought she was being clever, but she blew the whole ending for me. Thanks a whole bunch, sis!
A terrific movie with a great cast starring Robert Taylor and a ravishing Elizabeth Taylor. The fierce battle scene at the end is also great. On several Halloweens thereafter I was Ivanhoe in my do-it-yourself homemade costume (a towel served as my cape) and toy sword.
Had a hard time understanding that first panel. Kept reading it as Shermy asking him “You want to go to the SNOW, Charlie Brown?” Had to read the second panel to get he said show.
You’d fall asleep after the first word, “in” (that’s what happened in Zits when Jeremy had to read Ivanhoe for English Lit class). Also, where have you heard of an Ivanhoe comic magazine. Is there even an Ivanhoe movie??
